Included in this formulation is pharmaceutical grade beta-alanine. A common side-effect is paresthesia. This means you may experience a tingling sensation in your face, neck or hands 5 – 10 minutes after consumption and may continue throughout your workout. But don't worry, it is harmless!

So, what is beta-alanine?

Beta-alanine is a non-essential amino acid that is produced naturally by the body. When ingested, it combines with histidine (an amino acid) to form carnosine. Carnosine is then stored in the muscles, which then acts as an acid buffer. This helps delay the onset of muscle fatigue.

Beta-alanine is great for improving performance especially in weight-lifting and anaerobic exercises. It also increases muscle endurance and indirectly supports muscle growth (work harder and longer to build up those muscles!).
